The Beginning......Our First Golden Girls
We have to start with our first golden girls. We bought a sweet little girl on one of those "We'll go look" visits. Rebeckah became the queen of the house in August of 1998 and has gone everywhere with us. She has been on two trips on the Appalachian Trail where she carried her backpack and guarded my husband and our two sons as they made their treks on the AT. She has gone on many a camping trip and is loyal and faithful like her name. She is the mother of Hope, whom I had to do mouth to mouth on to save her, thus her name, and Leo promised her she would always have a home with us. And then there is Angel, my girl that brought such joy to us in June of 2003 when we decided to learn how to show our dogs, become part of the GRCA and learn how to be reputible breeders. We have been hooked ever since with this beautiful breed! Angel inspired us to move on to do what ever we could to help improve the breed and provide quality pets for quality homes.
Laurell's Goodnight Sweet Angel "Seraph"
She is our Foundation Bitch for Golden Clover!
As you can tell by her name, our Seraph was named with Angel in mind. We purchased Seraph after Angel's death as she was born very close to when our puppies were due. She was one to help us carry on "In Honor of Angel." Her name signifies a closure for us in that chapter of the "book" about Golden Clover.
Seraph has to be one of the smartest dogs I have encountered. She is very "birdy" and trainable. She has a beautiful front assembly, and a body to die for! She has black pigment that stands out against her lighter coat. She floats around the ring with beautiful movement. She loves people and is the best mommy with her puppies. Seraph does not have any allergies and comes from lines that are healthy and have good longevity. She has her hip, elbow, eye and heart clearances. Seraph has produced two beautiful litters of puppies and we are absolutely thrilled about how lovely, intelligent and well adjusted they are.
We are thrilled to say that we have a wonderful adoptive home for Seraph! Thank-you Pat Milner! May you enjoy her as much as we have!

Splendid's Wynsome Tyme in Clover "Wynn"
We are excited about Wynne! She is a young girl born on the day of the Kentucky Derby in May 07. She is Angel's niece and Julie Speer of Splendid Goldens has helped us start over with this beautiful girl. She is one of the most loving girls I have known. She just wants to please you. Our grand daughter, loves to show her and they are quite the team for two young beauties! Wynne will be out in the show ring in the spring/summer of 09. She won a group 2 in a very large "B" match this summer with our grand daughter on the lead. Wynne has helped her to win some pee wee showmanship classes as well. We are looking forward to this beautiful team and watching them grow up together!
Wynne's pedigree can be seen at: http://www.k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=311631
June, 09...Unfortunately, it has been discovered that Wynn is dysplastic in her hips and therefore, we can not use her in our breeding program. We are looking for a home that will do therapy work with her as she is the most sweetest, kindest golden I have encountered. July 8th! Wynn is going to a very special home with Dan and Rita Shrader in Trafalgar Indiana. They are very excited about having this lovely girl in their home. We love her dearly.
