"Sugar" (Golden Clover's I Wanna Dream of Sweet Angel Kisses) and Leo
GRCA National at Purina Farms, Gray Summit, Missouri
Sweeps: 3rd Place Winners!
9-12 Puppy Bitch Class

Picture
Leo and Sugar's win photo was made in to a Brag Ad for Everything Golden. Sugar is our dream girl out of relatives of LoverBoy and Angel. Derek is showing Sugar in the Regular 9-12 puppy class where they made the first cut, which is wonderful too!

CH Splendids For The Peeps "Lincoln" x Golden Clover's Sweet Carmel Kiss "Sweetie"

Needless to say, it was beyond our wildest dreams to have such wonderful success at our second National to attend.  Our first National we attended was in Cleveland in 2003 where we went for just the BOB and we saw Hobo win after we had purchased our Angel from Julie Speer. Then then purchased a Hobo son, LoverBoy and went to the National in Kansas City in 2006.  LB went to two more National shows before he died, and we sent Wynn (another Splendid puppy) to RI where she made the first cut in the puppy class.  So, this being our first National with our home bred girls was a very special time for us.
This is LoverBoy's grand daughter, out of Sweetie, and is the first Sweeps we have entered at a National.  We went to honor LoverBoy and his girls certainly did that!  I terribly missed LoverBoy for the Parade of Title Holders and showing him in Veterans/BOB.  But, his legacy lives on.  Sugar is extra special as she is the culmination of our dream that we started with Angel.  Angel was our very first Show Golden and she died in 2006 from Hydrops.  Lincoln, Sugar's sire, is Angel's niece.
So, finally, we are where we wanted to be 5 years ago.  Thank-you
Julie Speer of Splendid Goldens for this adventure.

Sugar and Derek Beatty in the Regular 9-12 puppy class.  They made the cut out of approximately 40 bitches!
